The Story
Hard work always pays off. The story of Mr.Ganesh, is one such example.
Ganesh is one of our first students to join our SSDC during its starting Days. When we recruited him into our centre he was working in the petrol bunk nearby to our centre.
He was an Intermediate fail student who lacked skills like spoken English, Basic Computer skills and was poor at studies. He jumped at the opportunity to join our centre when he learned that it gives a chance to those in need of a job, even if they had failed in their studies.
His family consists of his mother and elder sister. Unfortunately his father had passed away in an accident during his stay with us. At the age of 18, he became solely responsible for taking care of his family. This very responsibility pushed him to work hard to earn a decent job that his family can rely on.
While studying at our centre he used to work part time in the petrol bunk to fill petrol during the nights and as a driver from time to time to earn his family living. Due to the various works that he used to do to earn their livelihood, He was very irregular to classes. But he never gave up his dream of earning a decent job.
His absenteeism resulted in a poor performance in his first two interviews; he failed in his first two attempts to join in Finance Buddha as a Tele-caller. After failing his interviews he worked hard continuously to improve in skills he lacked at, like his language, interview skills, etc. The failures were no match against his determination and hard work and he finally got selected in his third attempt in Finance Buddha as a Tele-caller, with a salary of 11,000 with incentives.
Earning a job didn’t put a full stop to his story. His dream to provide his mother and sister an adequate living, to improve his lifestyle and get his elder sister married into a decent family, constantly pushed him to work hard. His constant struggle to persist in his job, lead him to become a team leader and then a floor leader of his Company.
At present (after the quarantine), he is working as an assistant Team leader in Mani Trades Pvt. Ltd., in Bangalore, with a salary of 20,000 with incentives.
His story is a true example of hard work. He is what he is only due to his commitment and hard work.
